THE CHURCH

I rebuilt this former church in the heart of Rotterdam into my creative space and I’m lucky enough to call it my studio and office.

It’s an 800m² space with a small garden out front, where I get to play around with studio light and the natural light beaming through the original stained-glass windows.

Over the years, I’ve built white studio and exposition walls, you can transform it into a living room, bedroom and different spaces to shoot, create and experiment in. And not to forget: a 16-metre-high swing running from the roof of the church all the way down to the floor probably the highest swing in Rotterdam.

The church is constantly evolving with me and has become a place for photography, film, art, music, exhibitions, dinners and events but most of all, a place to create and gather.
